Are you thinking of selling this summer? If so, you may be wondering when is the best time to list? I would highly recommend you list as soon as possible; while I know that the interruption of long weekends can be concerning for open home numbers, the reality is that the serious buyers are still looking at the newspapers, and on the internet even when they are on holiday. Over 40% of the visitors to Kellands website are using mobile devices, which indicates to me that purchasers are looking at real estate from where ever they are located.
While March is traditionally one of the busiest times in real estate it is not always the best time to sell, due to the volume of listings. The fundamentals of achieving a great price for your property is based on supply and demand. If there are more purchasers in the market looking than homes available, coupled with a competitive marketing sale process, you have the right ingredients for achieving the best possible price for your property.
The market was strong in the lead up to Christmas with transactions occurring right up to Christmas Eve and there will be buyers who have missed out on purchasing a property and others who had sold during that period and need to buy. So now is a great time to sell, there might just be a buyer waiting in the wings to find a home just like yours.
