Sometimes, when the travel bug strikes, the only cure is to pack your bags and go. But where to? To help inspire your next adventure, TripAdvisor has released their list of Traveler's Choice Destinations. "The world's best travel destinations", ranked 412 cities around the world and took the top 25 based off the feedback and ratings of travelers who frequent the site.
Last year's champion was Paris, followed by New York City in second place, with London coming in third.

10. Shanghai, China
Shanghai is the cool, confident face of modern China, and its energy is infectious.
9. Siem Reap, Cambodia
Siem Reap is a fast-growing city with plenty of new hotels, restaurants and amazingly well-preserved ancient temples.
8. Hanoi, Vietnam
The charming Vietnamese capital has aged well, preserving the Old Quarter, monuments and colonial architecture, while making room for modern developments alongside.
7. Paris, France
Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre.
6. Marrakech, Morocco
Your local farmers’ or flea market may be a fun place to spend a Saturday morning, but it’s got nothing on Marrakech’s markets. Spend a day here to immerse yourself in the spectacle.
5. Prague, Czech Republic
The bohemian allure and fairytale features of Prague make it a perfect destination for beach-weary vacationers who want to immerse themselves in culture.
4. Beijing, China
Here, you'll find a wealth of history, both ancient and more recent. For the best market experience, choose the Dirt Market over the touristy Silk Market.
3. London, United Kingdom
The crown jewels! In London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale.
2. Rome, Italy
Rome can’t be toured in a day, either. The city feels like the exhibit halls of a giant outdoor museum, a real-life collage of piazzas, open-air markets, and mind-boggling historic sites.
1. Istanbul, Turkey
Europe and Asia meet in Istanbul, where breathtaking ancient architecture coexists with modern restaurants. The city's mosques, bazaars, and hammams (Turkish baths) could keep you happily occupied for your entire trip.
