ABBA release new lyric music video for 'Waterloo' in celebration of Eurovision anniversary

Yesterday marked 48 years since Swedish supergroup ABBA won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with their memorable and energetic song 'Waterloo.'

And now they are back with a new music lyric video for the much-loved classic.

Overnight, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad released the new video much to the delight of fans.

The video uses period footage of the group and adds the song's lyrics, seen across the screen in bold capital letters.

'Waterloo' was the first of ABBA's nine UK number one singles, topping the charts for two weeks. It also topped the charts in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, West Germany, Ireland, Norway, South Africa and Switzerland.

In total, it sold nearly six million copies, making it one of the best-selling singles in history.
