It was an image that broke hearts around the world ...
Dressed all in black, her head bowed, Queen Elizabeth II sat isolated and alone inside St. George Chapel as she said her final goodbye to Prince Philip.
After 73 years of marriage and a loving union that saw her husband often by her side or two steps behind, the 94-year-old monarch cut a lonely figure as she looked down upon his coffin.
But thanks to the magic of photoshop, the Duke of Edinburgh was able to comfort his wife as she grieved his passing.
While it is unclear who created the image, the haunting picture has been rapidly circulating on social media.
Due to the global pandemic, the Duke's service was an intimate affair with only 30 people in attendance.
The televised funeral saw Philip's coffin carried on a custom Land Rover - which the Duke was involved in the design of.
Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Prince William and Prince Harry participated in the procession, walking behind his coffin.
Philip died on April 9, at the age of 99, leaving behind four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
