Billy Joel praises Taylor Swift and shares sweet backstage pics with her and his daughters

Over the weekend, Billy Joel showed off his 'Swiftie Dad' status and took his family to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Miami.

On Instagram, he shared several photos from the night, including one posing alongside his wife Alexis Roderick in his amazing Eras Tour t-shirt that read "It's me. Hi. I'm the dad. It's me," a play on the lyrics to Taylor's Midnights track, Anti-Hero.

Billy attended the concert with Alexis and their two daughters Della, 9, and Remy, 6, who were adorably dressed in their sparkly Eras Tour best. 

The group even met Taylor backstage, as well as "got to celebrate with her mama" Andrea Swift, as shown in additional pictures shared by Billy.

Billy also applauded Taylor for breaking his record performing at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium with Elton John on their Face to Face Tour in 2009, "ushering in a new era" (honestly, great pun). He wrote of his family's Eras Tour experience:

"Our family attended the Taylor Swift concert at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami where Billy Joel/Elton John’s ‘Face to Face’ concert previously held the seating record. Taylor’s second concert at Hard Rock Miami set a new record and ushered in a new era at Hard Rock Stadium. We were so happy to be a part of this record-breaking concert! Plus, we got to celebrate with her mama."
