Bradley Walsh was left mortified after Fanny Chmelar surprises him in bed

The Chase host Bradley Walsh is responsible for some of our all-time favourite funny moments on The Chase, with perhaps the most famous one happening thirteen years ago. 

“In what sport did Fanny Chmeler compete?” was the question which reduced him to hysterical laughing, going down in TV history.

Now, thirteen years on, Bradley has finally met the woman herself... and he was woefully underprepared! 

On an episode of BBC’s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, during the Midnight Gameshow segment, Bradley sprung into a surprise interview while in a hotel room bed, covering up his topless body with the duvet.

Michael began asking Bradley some of The Chase questions which made him laugh, seeing if he remembered the answers, before bringing up the infamous 'Fanny Chmelar' moment...

 Bradley quickly answered "skiing" before saying he would be “taking that to his grave”.

Michael then continued to tease Bradley about the moment, announcing "We couldn’t get Fanny to come from Austria,” before shouting, “Please welcome Fanny Chmelar.”

Bradley was shocked by her arrival, shouting "no" as the athlete walked into his hotel room holding her skis. Horror quickly came to his face, alongside a quick apology: “I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh”.

“This is really surreal. This is the most surreal moment of my life. I am properly sweating. I am actually sweating. It’s lovely to meet you,” he said.
