Carrie Underwood took to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame stage over the weekend and performed "One More Try" in honour of George Michael's induction.
Miguel also performed a tribute to Michael, performing "Careless Whisper", while Adam Levine performed "Faith."
Andrew Ridgeley was also present at the ceremony to induct his friend and colleague posthumously.
“We achieved as Wham! our burning boyhood ambition…Wham! was the realization of everything I had ever aspired to, and the realization for George that stretching before him along a gilded and infinite path lay his destiny," he said.
George died on Christmas Day in 2016 at his home in England, aged 53. The medical examiner ruled that the musical superstar died from natural causes.
Elton John also performed, taking to the stage to honour his longtime collaborator, Bernie Taupin, who received the musical excellence award.
The duo collaborated together on many songs including "Benny and the Jets," "Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long Time)," "Tiny Dancer" and many others.
Willie Nelson, Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, Rage Against the Machine, Sheryl Crow and the Spinners were also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2023.
