We've long been big fans of Betty White ... and it seems that Cher is too!
The legendary singer has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late television icon as part of NBC's upcoming special celebrating White's life.
The 'Believe' hitmaker has belted out a new cover of 'Thank You for Being a Friend,' the theme song of the 1980s sitcom The Golden Girls that starred White along with Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty and Rue McClanahan, for Celebrating Betty White: America's Golden Girl.
For the performance, the 75-year-old star was filmed on the original Golden Girls Stage 5 in Hollywood, where the long-running NBC series was taped.
'Thank You for Being a Friend' was originally written and recorded in 1978 by Andrew Gold, and was later covered by Cynthia Fee. Fee's version was used on the Emmy-winning series which ran from 1985 until 1992.
The star-studded event will include tributes from President Joe Biden, Drew Barrymore, Bryan Cranston, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Goldie Hawn, Jay Leno and more.
White passed away in Los Angeles on December 31, six days after suffering a stroke. Her death came just weeks before she would have celebrated her 100th birthday on January 17.
