Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has revealed the real reason behind quitting after 13 years

We have known her for the past 13 years as Michelle from Coronation Street, but Kym Marsh is leaving the UK drama to move on to other things.

When Kym announced her departure from the show a month ago, there was a lot of speculation around her being lined up for the next season of Strictly Come Dancing.

According to an interview with OK! Magazine, Kym is planning to work on some other projects as well as be around for her grandson that is due very soon.

“There were reports that I was going to appear in the next series of Strictly or I’m A Celeb… As wonderful as those shows are, I’m not leaving Corrie after thirteen years to do reality TV.

“Another big factor in my decision to take a break from Corrie is the impending arrival of my grandson."

Kym has previously talked about how hard of a decision it was to leave the show, but she felt like it was the right time to do it.
