Dolly Parton has teamed up with four other amazing female vocalists in the fight against breast cancer.
The country music queen has released a brand new song, 'PINK,' alongside actress and singer Rita Wilson - who’s a breast cancer survivor - American Idol singer Jordin Sparks, R&B star Monica and chart-topping country singer Sara Evans.
The moving lyrics and vocals offer support for those battling the disease, looking forward toward a better day when nobody has to face breast cancer.
Which is a powerful message for nearly any listener, as one in nine New Zealand women will be affected by the disease during her lifetime, meaning that nearly everyone will be touched by cancer at some point, either personally or through someone they love.
"This is such a beautiful song of hope," said Dolly Parton. "I'm honoured to join with these powerful women to help support Susan G. Komen's life-saving work."
"The song is not just for someone who is a survivor or going through breast cancer treatment, it is for anyone who loves someone who has been impacted by breast cancer," added Rita Wilson. "That's what I love about the song."
All proceeds from the star-studded song will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the world's leading breast cancer non-profit.
