99-year-old WWII veteran, Captain Tom Moore, first captured the world's attention when he raised over £20million for the NHS by walking laps of his garden.

And now, following the release of his hit single, he's also captured the legendary Elton John's attention.

Teaming up with British singer Michael Ball and the NHS Voices of Care choir, the war veteran topped the UK charts last week with his powerful charity single cover of 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Thanks to his charity single, Moore has now raised more than £26 million.

Taking to Instagram, John paid a touching tribute to Moore - who set himself the target to walk 25 metres around his garden 100 times before his 100th birthday which falls today on April 30.

He beat this target by April 16 and his modest target of raising £1,000 was smashed.

Alongside a photo of Moore, John wrote: "Tom Moore is an amazing man with a huge heart.

"What he has raised for the NHS is phenomenal and has inspired me to join the legions of other British citizens contributing to his fundraising efforts."

He continued: "Captain Moore demonstrates a triumph of the human spirit and shows us all how one person can make a big difference."

Before cheekily adding: "P.S. Congratulations on your Number 1 record. For a 99 year old that’s not too shabby!!"

We are so proud of Moore!
