Riley Keough, the eldest granddaughter of legendary singer Elvis, is celebrating her 31st birthday today!

And it seems the brunette beauty is stepping out of her granddad's enormous shadow and is steadily making a name for herself in the entertainment world.

Despite her famous family being known for their musical talents, Riley has instead pursued a career in acting, making her big debut in 2010's The Runaways alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.

Two years later she went on to star in Magic Mike, followed by Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015 - which is how she met her now-husband, stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen.

Riley - who is the daughter of Elvis's only child Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough - also starred in last year's drama horror The Lodge alongside Alicia Silverstone and Richard Armitage.

Despite her celebrity genes, Riley said her mother kept her grounded, even though being the granddaughter of Elvis did help her in the business.

"It’s been a huge help. I’m very privileged. Like the normal story of moving to LA and it takes you three years to find an agent? I got one in a week," she previously admitted.
