First look at Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins

Next year we will be watching records break as the remake of Mary Poppins has waited 54 years to come to fruition. 

We have now got pictures from the set of the movie that show Emily in the full Mary Poppins costume. She is shown sporting a red hat, a blue dress, and Poppins' signature bag while standing in front of the Bank of England.

The movie that is set to release on Christmas 2018 has quite the star studded line up with Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, Ben Whinshaw, and Angela Lansbury making the cut.

Everyone will be wondering if Emily will be able to fill Julie Andrews boots as Ms Poppins. Take a look at this side by side comparison, she definitely does look the part - that's a start!

Dick Van Dyke will even be making an appearance in the flick! He told Entertainment Tonight that it will be a little less of a part than the original though - "Well, I've just got to be a part of it. I think I'll just have one scene, and a little song and dance in it."
