Dame Judi Dench has shown that you can never be too old to seize the day after getting a tattoo for her 81st birthday. The veteran actress was given her first inking - the words "carpe diem" on her right wrist - as a present by her daughter.

“That’s my motto: Seize the day. Finty gave it to me for my 81st birthday – she’s wonderful with surprises," Dench told the Mirror.
