The movie Titanic first premiered in 1997 and it has been breaking hearts ever since. Pretty much everyone has shed a tear during the last scene, when the young and beautiful Jack, froze to death because Rose refused to share the raft. For years there has been a major debate as to whether there was room for the two love birds to share the raft while waiting for a life boat — and now Winslet herself is finally weighing in on the major debate.
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel confronted Winslet about how she could still hang out with DiCaprio at award shows even though she "let him freeze to death in the water." "I agree," the Steve Jobs actress admitted. "I think he could have actually fit on that bit of door."
Rose herself has finally confirmed what the Internet has been debating for years. With an amazing movie romance that's only rivaled by The Notebook, it's no wonder fans still aren't over Rose literally letting Jack go.
"People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in the same space, which at the end of the day, that's so lovely," Winslet said. "It's been 20 years and people still get such a kick out of it. It's really quite endearing."
Until Jurassic World and Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, Titanic was the biggest domestic movie of all time. The tragic romance made a cool $658.7 million after all. Winslet even scored a coveted Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role.
