There was no champagne at Nicky Watson's wedding to Pete Evans. Just kombucha tea and a paleo carrot cake.
The Kiwi socialite, 39, now known as Nicola Robinson, and the Australian chef, 42, married at their New South Wales farm in front of just a handful of friends and family, Woman's Day reports.
And they stayed true to their paleo, healthy, clean-living lifestyle, toasting their nuptials with kombucha, fermented coconut milk and paleo carrot cake while their farm animals looked on.
The pair originally planned to marry last year, but were worried about paparazzi so delayed it, only deciding on the date 10 days before the big day.
"We originally intended to get married last April, but someone leaked out the date. We were warned that the paparazzi were all ready to go with choppers so we pulled the pin ... But if feels so right to be doing it now, like this," Robinson tells WD.
Robinson wore an organic cotton "kimono-style gown with angel sleeves" from fashion label Spell, which hasn't yet been released, and Evans dressed in a white shirt, tan pants and went shoe-less.
Evans told guests during his vows he was going to be proud to call Robinson his wife.
"I am super-stoked that she is a part of our family and I look forward to sharing this wonder-filled life we continue to create together for Chilli, Indii (from his previous marriage to Astrid Edlinger), all the animals and ourselves," he said.
Robinson replied that she loved Evans' sense of humour.
"I love his fluffy chest hair - it's the perfect pillow - and I love his smell. His natural aroma is nurturing and familiar, and when he's away, I always sleep on his side of the bed so that I can breathe him in," she said.
Robinson later took to Instagram to confirm the wedding, posting a picture of Evans with the word, "husband".
Robinson was known for a string of high profile romances in New Zealand, including a marriage to Eric Watson and relationships with Matthew Ridge and Shelton Woolright.
WD reports she runs a paleo lifestyle business with Evans, a judge on My Kitchen Rules Australia and author of several cookbooks.
