GETTING TO EDEN PARK
Auckland’s rail network will be closed on 17 and 18 January to enable important work to be carried out on the City Rail Link. This means trains will not be operating on those days. However, there are a number of other ways to get to and from Eden Park for the concert. We ask that you give yourself plenty of time to get to the show to make sure you don’t miss anything, and please be patient when leaving, as there will be longer than usual wait times.
Road closures
Many of the streets surrounding Eden Park will be closed or have resident-only parking in place. There is no public parking in the streets surrounding the venue. Please refer to the Transport Map to find out more about road closures and parking restrictions.
Public transport
Your concert ticket gives you free transport to and from Eden Park on regular, special event and rail replacement bus services. To plan your journey, visit the AT Journey Planner website or use the AT Mobile app to plan your journey in advance.
With a huge crowd expected, please be patient as we all work to ensure everyone who is using public transport to get home after the concert, does so safely.
Rail-replacement buses: Rail replacement buses will be operating for people who would normally travel to and from Eden Park on the Western Line. Post-event, these will be leaving from the following locations:
West-bound: located at New North Road across the road from Morningside Station
City-bound: New North Road bus stop near the intersection of New North Road and Sandringham Road.
Free special-event buses will be going to and from Eden Park before and after the concert for fans travelling from Auckland City Centre and the North Shore.
After the show, North Shore buses will depart from the Eden Park bus hub (from the stops closest to Reimers Avenue), and CBD buses will depart from New North Road on the CBD side of Bond Street.
Please refer to the Transport Map for the exact locations of the Special Event buses after the concert.
Park & Ride
You can park your vehicle at Alexandra Park for free and catch one of the free park-and-ride buses to the concert available from 4 pm on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 January at Alexandra Park. We recommend you arrive early to make sure you get a space as these are on a first come first served basis.
Park-and-ride buses depart from the Bus Hub from the stops closest to the stadium. See the Transport Map for the exact location
Bike valet
Enjoy free secure bike parking, so that you can enjoy the event worry-free. The bike valet is located at Kōwhai Intermediate School and will open at 4.30pm when Eden Park gates open. You can access the bike valet location from the gates on Sandringham Road.
Taxis, rideshares and private drop-off and pick-up
Your taxi or Uber will not be able to enter the resident-only area once the road closures are in place, however your driver can stop at one of the drop off points.
- If your ticket is for Entry E or D, we recommend getting dropped off on Dominion Road between Bellwood Avenue and Walters Road.
- If your ticket is for Entry A, B, G, F, Q or J, the best drop off point is on Morningside Drive.
After the show, the road closures will still be in place and no taxis or rideshares will be able to access the area.
You can grab a taxi or rideshare from either of the two locations above.
Please refer to the Transport Map for exact locations.
Scooters and e-bikes
You can pick up an e-scooter or e-bike using your smartphone to get you to the show, no need for parking, just download the app (and remember to wear your helmet!).
Walking
Eden Park is an easy 25-minute walk from Auckland’s CBD. You can plan your walking route using the AT Journey Planner (just tick the walking/cycling option).
Private car
If you are coming by car, please remember there is no access to and no free street parking near Eden Park – access to and parking in this area is reserved for residents only, and if you don’t have a permit you will be fined or towed.
There are plenty of other free parking options in the area within a 15-minute walk (just make sure to check for no-parking or time restriction signs before you head to the venue). Please remember, it will be very busy around Eden Park after the show, so if you need to get away quickly , we recommend you park a little further away from the stadium.
