Grant Kereama shares incredible video of his father as Queen Elizabeth's guard in Christchurch in 1977

Following the passing of Britain's beloved Queen Elizabeth II last year, our very own Grant Kereama shared his own incredible story about his father with Her Majesty.

As part of her 1977 Silver Jubilee celebrations, the monarch visited New Zealand and Grant's father was bestowed the honour of being the Queen's guard as she departed Christchurch.

Prior to boarding her flight, Grant's father was captured with the monarch as she inspected his troops.

Grant's father had never actually seen the full footage; only a snippet or two along with a few photos.

What an incredible memory of our gracious Queen.
