Hilary Barry reveals the reason why she hasn't been on Seven Sharp this week

After being noticeably absent from Seven Sharp on Monday and Tuesday night, Hilary Barry has revealed why she has been off-air.

Taking to Instagram, Barry told her followers her absence is a result of being in isolation due to Covid.

Alongside a picture of a kereru in a tree, she wrote: "I've been spending a bit of time watching birds.

"(7 days actually as per Ministry of Health guidelines.)"

The much-loved TV host is yet to confirm if she has Covid-19 or is isolating as a household contact.

Her co-host Jeremy Wells has instead been joined by Sacha McNeil.

Barry joins a long list of TVNZ presenters who have had to isolate due to the virus.
