Jenny-May Clarkson, Jack Tame and more cover Earth, Wind & Fire's 'September' for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori

To celebrate Mahuru Māori and Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, a few big names have teamed up for a music video cover of September by Earth, Wind & Fire. 

Celebs like Jenny-May Clarkson, Jack Tame and Stacey Morrison have lip synced their way to nigh on 20,000 Youtube views, and counting. 

Expert vocals for the clip is provided by popular Māori musician and Pere Wihongi. 

Wihongi, a former reporter for TVNZ1's Te Karere, says it's important to give te reo a go, even if you don't know much.

"Simple little commitments can do so much for Te Reo Māori," he said.

Māori Language Week has been celebrated each year in New Zealand since 1975.
