Kate Middleton shares sweet interaction with young boy who asked if she was a Prince

The Duchess of Cambridge often looks like she has stepped straight out of a fairy tale ...

But one young boy was left a tad confused during his meeting with Kate Middleton after he asked the royal mum if she was a prince.

The 39-year-old was asked the question during a visit to the island of Orkney in Scotland with her husband Prince William when she met with a group of nursery school students.

Excited to chat with the mum-of-three, the little boy called out to Middleton and asked: "Are you a prince?"

Taking it in her stride, the Duchess just shook her head and said: "I'm not a prince."

The boy then regrouped and asked: "Are you a princess?"

To which she smiled and said: "Yes, I am."

Prince or princess, the moment was so pure!
