Since Céline Dion revealed she had been diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder Stiff Person Syndrome, which causes uncontrollable muscle spasms and has impacted her ability to sing, the world has been waiting for the iconic singer to perform live again - and that day is almost here.

According to French journalist Thierry Moreau, Céline will perform a duet of Édith Piaf’s La Vie en Rose with Lady Gaga at the Opening Ceremony which starts at 5:30am tomorrow.

Céline has shared photos over the last few days of herself in Paris, writing that, “Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world. I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back!”

Lady Gaga is no stranger to Édith Piaf’s heartbreaking song, having sung it in her 2018 film, A Star Is Born.

According to some media reports, Céline is being paid €2m and will be dressed in a pink and black feather cape from Dior.

As for Lady Gaga, the tight security around the Seine did not stop one fan from snapping a photograph of someone who looked very much like her by a white piano on a floating island on the river on Monday.
