Lady Gaga finally opens up about the romance rumours with Bradley Cooper

After her steamy performance of Shallow on stage at the Oscars with Bradley Cooper, romance rumours have been swirling for Lady Gaga and her A Star Is Born co-star.

Now the Bad Romance singer has broken her silence on the controversial accusations that secretly dating the 44-year-old – who is in a relationship with Irina Shayk.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Gaga set the record straight after host Jimmy Kimmel brought up the awkward topic.

Rolling her eyes Gaga explained: "First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it's done to pop culture is abysmal.

"People saw love and, guess what, that's what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song, Shallow. The movie, A Star Is Born, it's a love story."

"From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time," she continued, insisting that she and Bradley were simply acting. "When you're singing love songs, that's how you want people to feel."
