Miley Cyrus covers Dolly Parton in moving Mother's Day tribute

Miley Cyrus has wowed her fans with a moving cover of Dolly Parton's 'Light of a Clear Blue Morning' as she opened the late-night comedy show Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

The singer kicked off the episode by announcing, "Tomorrow is Mother's Day and this is for all the mums out there," before launching into the 1977 classic.

During the performance, clips of the SNL cast played with each of them appearing side-by-side with their mothers.

Cyrus closed her rendition by wishing a Happy Mother's Day to her godmother, Parton, as well as her mother, Tish Cyrus, who appeared beside her.

Later in the show, she also performed her chart-topping hit 'Plastic Hearts' and her new collaborative remix of 'Without Out' alongside The Kid LAROI.
