NZ Photographer Marti Friedlander Has Died

Marti Friendlander, one of New Zealand's most acclaimed photographers, has died.
Her Facebook account said she passed away peacefully this morning.
Friedlander was born in 1928 to Russian Jewish parents.
She was raised in an orphanage, with her sister, from the age of 3 and emigrated to New Zealand from Britain in 1958.
She began taking photographs of people, places and protests. Friedlander lived in Auckland with her husband, Gerrard.
