Paul McCartney's new podcast is deep diving into his music catalogue

Paul McCartney has launched a new podcast alongside poet Paul Muldoon to discuss and dissect some of Paul's most famous lyrics.

The first season will have 12 episodes released weekly on iHeartRadio, and each episode will focus on a different song -Eleanor Rigby, Let It Be, Band on the Run and many more!

McCartney: A Life in Lyrics came about when McCartney collaborated with Muldoon on McCartney's 2021 bestseller book, The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present. While creating the book, the pair realised they had more than 50 hours of recorded conversations between the pair.

"When we listened back to the tapes, we realised there was something very special happening in these conversations," Muldoon said in the prologue episode. "It was McCartney unfiltered."

A second season of the podcast is already planned for 2024, set to focus on 12 more of Paul's songs.
