Prince Harry and Meghan Markle honour Princess Diana with touching post for the first time

She may be gone, but she certainly will never be forgotten.

While most of the royal family's tributes to Princess Diana have been subtle nods, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just shared their first-ever public statement about the late 'People's Princess' on social media.

The couple took to Instagram to share an inspirational quote from Harry's late mother to encourage people to "carry out a random act of kindness".

The quote they chose read: "Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day, someone might do the same for you."

Alongside the post, the pair wrote: "Words have the power to inspire, which is why we’re happy to share some of our favourite quotes.

"From members of the public to public figures, from teachers and students to young leaders, we begin with a quote from Diana, Princess of Wales."

The post has been liked by more than 400,000 people at the time of writing.
