It seems three is the magic number for Prince William!
The Duke of Cambridge hilariously teased his wife, Kate Middleton, about not wanting more children during a visit to Clitheroe Community Hospital in Lancashire last week.
While meeting members of the community, new parents Trudi and Alastair offered the royal couple a chance to hold their baby daughter, Anastasia - to which the Duchess gladly accepted.
However, while the crowd gushed over the adorable sight of Kate snuggling the wee tot, William quickly joked: "Don't give my wife any more ideas! No more!"
Before the mother-of-three handed back the bundle of joy to her parents, the 39-year-old Prince teased Kate again, saying: "Don't take her with you."
While the Duke and Duchess - who are already the proud parents of George, eight, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three - poked a little fun at the idea of expanding their brood, Kate has been candid about her husband's hesitancy to have any more little ones.
In 2020, she told royal fan Josh Macpalce: "I don't think William wants any more."
Most recently, Kate shut down pregnancy rumours in September 2021 after she spent over two months out of the public eye while their family had their annual summer vacation.
The last time the Duchess had a similarly lengthy time out of the spotlight was when she was suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum - which causes extreme morning sickness - while pregnant in 2017.
