Princess Diana's brother Charles Spencer shares rare photo with his sister in poignant tribute

Much to the delight of royal fans, Princess Diana's brother Earl Charles Spencer has shared a rare photo of the mother of two.

Taking to social media, the 58-year-old posted the poignant snap of himself, the 'People's Princess' and their father in honour of All Souls Day.

In the picture, from 1989, the family can be seen posing together at an event to mark his father's 65th birthday.

Charles captioned the sentimental post: "Today is All Souls Day (aka The Day of the Dead) - a time to remember with love those who’ve departed.

"A deeply poignant photograph for me from 1989, during a party at Althorp to celebrate my father’s 65th birthday. Both hugely missed."

It has been 25 years since Princess Diana died at the age of 36, when the car she was travelling in crashed in a Paris tunnel on August 31, 1997.

Born on July 1, 1961, Diana also grew up with her two sisters, Sarah and Jane.
