Princess Kate releases a new photo of Prince George to mark his eleventh birthday

Happy birthday Prince George!

In celebration of the young royal's eleventh birthday today, the Prince and Princess of Wales have released a new photo of their eldest son - and he is one handsome young man.

The black and white snap, taken by Kate and shared to Kensington Palace social media accounts, shows George sat wearing a suit and white shirt.

"Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!" the photo was captioned.

George has had an eventful few weeks as he watched England in the Euro 2024 final alongside his father at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany, last weekend.

While Prince William and Prince George attended the Euros final, the younger of the two Wales children were watching on from home with their mum, Princess Kate.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London in July 2013 and made his first public appearance a day later, when his parents stood on the hospital steps in front of a huge crowd of photographers and camera crews.
