Rick Astley announces a new album 'Are We There Yet'

Rick Astley fans rejoice because the '80s legend is back with a brand-new album!

It’s been 36 years since he first shot to fame and now he's releasing his long-awaited ninth studio album Are We There Yet?, out on October 6th.

As with his previous albums 50 and Beautiful Life, the album was entirely written, recorded and produced by Rick at his home studio in southwest London.

Rick launched the album by dropping the first single, Dippin My Feet, and he also announced a UK tour in November this year.

“Now, that phrase has multiple meanings,” Rick said when explaining the cryptic album name, “Are we there yet in my musical ambitions? Am I done with my career? Have we arrived? Or are we still travelling?”

Are We There Yet? is inspired by soul greats like Marvin Gaye, Al Green, and Bill Withers, and follows up Astley’s 2018 release, Beautiful Life and 50, released in 2016.
