Shania Twain releases brand new '80s-inspired single 'Waking Up Dreaming'

2022 is Shania Twain's year!

She's performed at Coachella with Harry Styles, released a Netflix documentary, Not Just A Girl, and now she's delighting fans with brand new music for the first time in five years.

The 57-year-old superstar dropped her new single, 'Waking Up Dreaming,' on Friday - and we are loving it!

In the song's accompanying 80s-inspired music video, Twain can be seen channelling her inner glam rock goddess complete with teased hair, elaborate makeup and multiple outfit changes.

Taking to social media to share the new song, Twain said: "I've spent the last couple years working away on new music... on my documentary... on the Vegas residency and it's been such a creatively fulfilling time for me, I can't wait for this next chapter and 'Waking Up Dreaming' is just the start.⁠⁠"
