Breakers face uphill task to top ANBL

A potential grand final preview on the final day of the Australian basketball league's regular season.

The top of the table Cairns Taipans face the second-placed Breakers at Vector Arena in downtown Auckland this afternoon.

Breakers forward Mika Vukona says they're a bit battered and bruised, but they've got no shortage of motivation ahead of today's game.

"You shouldn't really need to get up for this time of the season. Everyone gets excited at this time and it's just about getting those bodies right.

"Everybody's mind is all fresh and really looking forward to it."

The Breakers have to win by 26 or more points to finish top of the table.
