A third consecutive century from Kumar Sangakkara has been unable to fire Sri Lanka to victory over Australia in their World Cup match in Sydney.
They've fallen to a 64 run defeat, with Sangakkara making 104 in his side's innings of 312 all out chasing 377 to win.
Australian captain Michael Clarke says his side was put under the pump by Sri Lanka.
"We had to continue to take wickets, I think. Again that was our attitude, was we need to find a way to take wickets.
"And it shows how far the game's come now, that you can even think about chasing 375 runs."
Australia now sits second ahead of their final pool match against Scotland next weekend.
