Updated 9.50am: India's continued its dream start to the Cricket World Cup, with a 130-run thumping of South Africa at the MCG.
After posting 307 for seven, Ms Dhoni's men rolled the Proteas for 177 and the skipper's elated.
"Having back to back wins, and especially the kind of wins we've had in the last two games have been tough to get."
South African captain AB de Villiers is ruing some poor decision making.
"I felt we had a chance halfway through the game, but unfortunately we lost our way completely. Two runs outs are absolutely unacceptable in the top 6."
MS Dhoni is hailing their bowling effort.
"Maybe the wicket also helped us a bit, but hitting the right areas according to how the wicket was behaving was crucial."
Shikhar Dhawan top scored with 137.
India is now in the box seat to claim Group B.
Sri Lanka's overcome an early scare in its chase to beat Afghanistan by four wickets in Dunedin.
