Vickerman revels in success

Dean Vickerman finds it hard to compare his four ANBL championship titles.

The Breakers' grand final win over Cairns has given Vickerman his first championship title as the club's head coach, to go with his three as Breakers assistant.

Dean Vickerman says success carries a similar feeling no matter what his role is.

"It is different you know. Obviously that was the unbelievable situation that you absolutely never forget, to win on a buzzer beater.

"But head coach or assistant coach, the first one for me was just amazing."

The Breakers are now seeking to re-sign Ekene Ibekwe, whose buzzer-beater goal secured the dramatic championship-clinching win on the North Shore.
