The Chase is set to undergo one of the biggest shake-ups in the show's history ... and following the announcement ITV will be bringing in a new chaser to join Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Shaun Wallace, fans think they may have found the perfect candidate.
Viewers who tuned into a recent episode of the show were left impressed by one young contestant's efforts when he was left to face the "Sinnerman" alone.
As Danny sadly watched his teammates get caught by The Chaser early on in the game, he was able to score a massive £8,000 in the Cash Builder round to take with him into the Final Chase.
With no support, the 22-year-old Cambridge student managed to get a score of 20 for Paul to try and beat in the final round.
Unfortunately, the much-loved chaser defeated Danny with just TWO seconds to spare and he went away empty-handed.
But it wasn't before presenter Bradley Walsh praised Danny, saying: "That was unbelievable. Brilliant! Honestly, great player.
"That was a superb performance. Truly. One of the best I've ever, ever seen from a single player."
While Paul agreed with Bradley saying: "Danny, that was quite well-played, I'll be honest with you. That was reasonably impressive.
"Very, very few solo players ever get to 20. It tends to be more of the older series of The Chase that solo players got to 20.

"But I can say, hand on heart, that no solo player has ever got to 20 against me. So, congratulations. The best thing I can say about you is that I'm not even the slightest bit surprised. You're that good."
Fans watching from home were quick to take to social media to call him a "future chaser."
One fan wrote: "Best player I've seen in a long time. A new Chaser in the making #TheChase"
Another agreed: "Future chaser this kid #thechase"
A third added: "Damn he was so unlucky, future chaser?"
"Oh nooo. Danny deserved to win. A future chaser. #thechase," someone else insisted.
Well done Danny!
