Watch the hilarious moment Prince Charles is served 'green ants' on MasterChef

It’s an episode that MasterChef has been teasing for a very long time, and the show has finally released a trailer for it.

In the episode that is airing on Wednesday in the UK, both Camilla and Charles make a special appearance.

Both the royals appear as guest judges on the episode, and enjoy a selection of hors d'œuvres in the trailer.

He introduces himself to the contestants, and asks about the delicious and unusual food on offer.

When he is presented with a dish off canape topped with edible ants he asks: “so, I wonder, what are all these?”

“Green ants on barramundi,” Matt quickly replied.

“Green ants?!” Charles exclaims.

“Our version of fish and chips” judge George Calombaris joked.

We don’t know whether Charles actually tried the unusual dish, but we’ll find out soon enough!
