It's no secret music biopics are all the rage at the moment.
Following on from ELVIS, Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman, the legendary George Michael is next in line to get a film.
And White Lotus hunk Theo James will reportedly portray the late singer in an £85 million biopic about the 'Wham!' frontman.
The 38-year-old actor, who hails from Oxford, has become one of Hollywood's hottest stars thanks to his performance as an unfaithful husband in the second season of the popular series.
When asked recently about playing the role, James - who is of Greek heritage - said: "Oh yeah, I would love that. He is an icon. He is a bit Greek and I am a bit Greek."
According to insiders, the film, which is in the final stages of development, will trace the singer's career from his days with Wham! to his triumph as a solo artist with singles such as 'Careless Whisper.'
The movie has reportedly been endorsed by Michael's family after the success of other recent music biopics.
The 'Careless Whisper' hitmaker died on Christmas Day in 2016 from heart and liver disease. He was 53 years old at the time of his death.
