While the temperatures in New Zealand are dropping the heat is definitely rising in Washington D.C. as the Obama's prepare for their summer vacation.Â
They are reported to be staying on Martha's Vineyard Island August 8-23.Â
The Obama's have spent almost every summer on the island except 2012 when the president was running for re-election.
Continuing the tradition of last years holiday they are expected to stay at the same $12 million 'cottage' in Chilmark they rented last year.Â
The Chilmark mansion features excellent quality finishes and boasts sweeping water views from almost every room.
Apparently the president and his family will spend their two week august vacation soaking up the tranquil Martha's Vineyard air.Â
The luxury property offers a basketball/tennis court and an infinity pool.Â
They stayed last year and it's no wonder they want to return this year.Â
The home itself is 8,100 square feet, features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a basketball/tennis court, a hot tub, infinity pool and views of the Elizabeth Islands.Â
You can expect Obama to hit the golf course while he's on the island. Prices range from $170 at the Farm Neck course to just $35 at Mini Meadows.Â
In addition to gold, the Obama's usually spend their vacations out and about on the island, going for bike ridesÂ
But apparently the women of the family are expecting some pampering. Reports are a manicurist has been booked to visit the family 3 times a week during their vacation.Â
Previously the Obama's have been known to spend the summer staying at this separate stage property in Chilmark. It recently hit the market for $22.5 million.
