Why Wendy Petrie almost missed the news last night

1News anchor Wendy Petrie has tweeted a frazzled message about being stuck in her TVNZ work lift – for the second time this week.

Petrie took to Twitter this afternoon when she was stuck in the lift on the fourth floor.

“TVNZ lift has it in for me. Stuck for the 2^nd time in a week. It’s my worst fear!”

Fortunately, she wasn’t forced to live the nightmare for too long – with a TVNZ spokesperson confirming Petrie is now safely back in the newsroom and will be back behind the desk for tonight’s bulletin.
