Toni, Jase & Sam open up about their special trip to Hawaii with Sophia in this week's New Zealand Woman's Day

When Toni, Jase & Sam drew Sophia as the winner of Coast's Big Spender, their trip to Hawaii became so much more than just a shopping spree.

And our Feel Good Breakfast hosts have been featured in this week's edition of Woman's Day to open up about grief, remembering what’s important in life and the special bond they've since formed with Sophia.

After losing her first-born daughter Valentina in a tragic driveaway accident at the age of three, the Auckland mum was also diagnosed with terminal cancer.

"We were all crying when we heard what Sophia had been through," Toni told the magazine.

She continued: "It honestly felt like it was meant to be that we'd be put together like this. She deserved a boost so much and we really struck the jackpot because we all got on so well. We felt like a big extended family from the moment we met.

"Meeting someone like Sophia changes your life because it reminds you of the importance of living each day to the fullest."
