I'm English-born, so Cilla Black was part of my childhood: singer, entertainer, TV personality - and always with that larger than life smile. As Cilla would say, she liked having a "lorra lorra laughs", and it showed. Here's one of my favourite songs of hers. Released on 31st January 1964, it was Cilla's first #1 and remains the biggest selling single by a UK female singer.
