- Not wearing blush: Blush is the quickest way to achieve a youthful glow - the trick is choosing the right colour. Brown tones are not only ageing but they'll also make you look drawn and tired. Always opt for a blush that has pinky-peach or rosy tones for the best result.
- Using the wrong colour foundation: This is a no-no at any age. Ideally, get your foundation colour matched on counter by a pro but if you can’t - always match your foundation to your decolletage. Avoid powdery foundation if you're after a silky, youthful glow.
- Wearing foundation but no lipstick: This can make your face look drawn. If full lipstick is not for you, try applying a clear gloss at the very least.
- Wearing winged black eyeliner: It’s very trendy right now but unless you’ve already mastered the art of applying liquid liner then it's best to avoid it all together. The eye area the first place to show signs of ageing so let go of your liquid liner and move on to a smokey eye look instead.
