Lorna Riley shares another health update following her double mastectomy

Lorna Riley has shared another quick health update.

The other week she shared a quick message, feeling positive and was ready to return to work at the start of this week; however, the next day she went back to see her surgeon and to have her pico dressings changed (the little battery packs) and received some unfortunate news.

One side looked absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, on the other side, things were going badly. So badly, in fact, that the nipple and surrounding tissue had died, which required fairly urgent surgery.

"Why did this happen? Very unfortunate, but it's all to do with my previous cancer treatment and the radiation."

"It's been gutting to be honest, I've been really upset because I have thought the double mastectomy and reconstruction was the last chapter in my cancer journey, and sadly, it's not."

"So I'll need several more procedures on this side to get this side looking like this side. But, the best news for me is that, Thursday I go back to work. I'm going to be back on Coast, my happy place. I'm so excited."
