RIP Graham Brazier: 1952 - 2015

Hello Sailor frontman Graham Brazier has died just weeks after a heart attack forced the cancellation of the band's reunion tour.

A family spokesperson confirmed to the Herald that Brazier died this morning in an Auckland rehab facility where he had been recovering from the illness.

The 62 year-old suffered the heart attack while on holiday in the Bay of Islands in August and was flown to Auckland Hospital where he underwent emergency treatment.

The group's 40th anniversary tour had been due to start this month, but it was scrapped and a benefit show at the Powerstation on September 18 was planned to raise funds for Brazier's recovery.

This live performance of "Gutter Black", used as the theme for Outrageous Fortune, was performed for the Campbell Live Christmas special in 2008.
