This 1960s Clip Of John Lennon Is Causing Outrage

He's been dead for 34 years, but former Beatle John Lennon can still cause outrage on the internet. 

This video shows Lennon apparently mocking the audience and disabled people by chewing his tongue, clapping awkwardly and stamping his feet, and has caused a furore on social media.

The black and white footage was shown part of UK show It Was Alright In The 60s, which trawls old television shows for politically incorrect clips. 

Opinions have been mixed, with some viewers voicing their disappointment at the cultural icon's behaviour, while others have scoffed at the "faux outrage".
