Hot new Hamburglar - sexy or creepy?

McDonald's have brought back the hungry Hamburglar - however he has escaped his comical form and taken on the role of a "hot" suburban dad.
The burger-stealing outlaw's reinvention has led some to declare that they find him strangely attractive, in a "hot dad" kind of way. However, others feel a grown man in stripes, a tie without a collar, leather gloves and a leather mask, is pretty creepy.
Hamburgler debuted in 1970 and had a long run with the company until 2002, when he disappeared from its promotions.
A new video released by McDonald's this week fills in the gap since his return, showing the mascot in a suburban backyard, with kids and a wife - but still donning his trademark stripes, in the form of a barbecue apron.
"He's had some time to grow up a bit and has been busy raising a family in the suburbs and his look has evolved over time," Joel Yashinsky, McDonald's vice president of US marketing, told Mashable.
Apparently McDonald's new limited edition burgers were enough to lure the reformed crim back to his former ways.
"His urge to resurface was unstoppable," said McDonald's spokesperson Lisa McComb in an email to Buzzfeed.
