Those impossibly addictive FIDGET SPINNERS!

THE hottest toy of 2017.  The Fidget Spinner.  It is a simple device which consists of a bearing in the centre of a design, which spins. 

They are usually made of plastic, and they have taken the world by storm, both in the classroom and in the office.  In fact, in spite of the fact that the kids caught on first, ‘Forbes’ called it the #1 office toy of 2017. 

And they are SO addictive!  Try one.  Then you will understand.  Originally created to serve as a tool to help children with attention-deficit disorder (ADD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism concentrate, the idea is that fidget toys offer a way to channel “restless energy” and in turn improve memory and focus. 

While they may help some children, some schools have now taken it upon themselves to confiscate or outright ban them.
