"You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen…"

Dancing Queen was released in August 1976, and is commonly regarded as one of the most successful singles of the ‘70s, and one of the all-time classic disco tunes.

The song was originally called Boogaloo, inspired by the dance rhythm of George McCrae's Rock Your Baby, and the drumming on Dr John's 1972 album, Dr John's Gumbo.

It was also apparently the Queen's favourite pop song, ever.
